As a college student at Saint Louis University I realized through various experiences that a degree without a skill was not what I wanted to leave SLU with. After seeing what was capable on the computer via graphic manipulation and media creations I decided to change my major from Business Management to Communications. In my first media course I was introduced to web page building under the direction of Les Hostetler who was an assistant to Sr. Instructor Bob Stahl. Thanx Les

I'm not exactly sure but it might have been either a semester or a year before I got around to responding to those ads on the Internet that offered free web page space 20 megs, 30megs, even 100megs. During that semester or year, I was able to create my own images, learn various programs and of course live a lil bit of college life (mostly work in other classes though). But by late 1998 I was able to begin creating my very own web sites that I would post on the Internet. My very first site that I created was actually one I made in class, but we didn't post them on the Internet. Ever since that time I have wanted to create Web Pages. My first idea was to create a network of pages of everything I liked, and even talk about things that I felt I had never had a chance to voice my opinion about. Even though I spent many Friday nights and Saturday mornings teaching myself how to use html code, it was still not enough time to complete the goal I had in mind. Especially when there was a very tight size restriction on what you could upload on these free sites. This really hurt once I moved to video editing and creation in my studies. But I did get into animated gifs. Unfortunately this is where it ended.....for a time.
